Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive Haridwar

Meet on arrival at Airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel

Day 2 : Haridwar - Delhi

After breakfast drive to Delhi. En-route visit Rishikesh, Dehradun, and Saharanpur. Arrive Delhi transfer to hotel. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 3 : Delhi - Varanasi (Overnight train)

Early morning visit India Gate at sunrise. Breakfast at hotel, later visit Red Fort. Evening transfer to Railway station for Varanasi. Overnight on board.
India Gate, an important monument in New Delhi is a memorial built in commemoration of more than 80,000 Indian soldiers who were killed during World War I.

Day 4 : Arrive Varanasi

Morning meet on arrival at Railway station and transfer to hotel (We may get rooms after 12:00 hrs but would try to get few rooms at least to wash & change). Later Visit SARNATH (where Buddha delivered his first sermon). Then city tour and some shopping in Varanasi, Overnight stay at the hotel.

Sarnath enjoys the extraordinary privilege of Lord Buddha delivering his first sermon after attaining enlightenment 250 years ago. It is about 10 km from Varanasi and holds a number of Buddhist sites that include the famous Dhamekh Stupa, the seat of the holy ‘Buddha’. You can also visit the ruins of Dharmarajika Stupa and Mulagandha Kuti Temple where Lord Buddha is said to have rested and meditated while in Sarnath.

The Ashoka Pillar built by emperor Ashoka is a must-see in Sarnath; The Lion Capital on top of this pillar is now The National Emblem of India stands apart for its excellent artistry and carvings.

Day 5 : Varanasi - Bodhgaya

Early morning drive eight hours from Varanasi Bodhgaya; Arrive Bodhgaya transfer to Hotel

Afternoon visit Mahabodhi Temple & Bodhi Tree Great Buddha Statue Niranjana River Sujata Temple which is across Niranjana River & it’s a thirty-minute walk through paddy fields also visiting various other Buddhist Temples

Evening Transfer To Hotel

Bodhgaya holds immense spiritual significance as it was here under a banyan tree that Gautama attained supreme knowledge become Buddha

Day 6 : Bodhgaya - Kushinagar

Early morning drive to Kushinagar with a hot lunch on the way. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Located 55 km from Gorakhpur, Kushinagar is where Lord Buddha uttered his final words “Behold now, brethren, I exhort you, saying, decay is inherent in all component things! Work out your salvation with diligence!” and departed for heaven. The Mahaparinirvana temple dedicated to this event stands as a testament to his mournful demise. Among Kushinagar’s various Stupas, Rambhar Stupa requires exploration as it is believed to be the site of Lord Buddha’s cremation.

Day 7 : Kushinagar - Lumbini

Morning after breakfast visit Mahaparinirvana Temple (where Buddha took his last breath) and Rambhar Stupa (the cremation site of Lord Buddha), Japan Temple.
Afternoon drive for 5 hours to Lumbini (Nepal). While traveling to Lumbini, stop at India/Nepal border for Visa/Immigration formalities. Later check-in at Hotel located a 15-minute drive from the Nepal Border. Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 8 : Lumbini - Sravasti

Midday visit Lumbini, the birthplace of Lord Buddha. Afternoon drive to Sravasti. Upon arrival check-in at the hotel for an overnight stay.
Sravasti is situated 134 km from Lucknow and 29 km from Balrampur; it was here that Lord Buddha spent 24 rainy seasons in the Jetavana Gardens during his time in the ancient kingdom of Kosala. It holds significance for Buddhists as it was here that Lord Buddha engaged with Tirthika heretics.

Day 9 : Sravasti - Lucknow

Morning visit Sravasti where Buddha spent his 24 monsoons; explore Jetavana and Ananda Bodhi Tree before driving to Lucknow. Arrive in Lucknow and transfer to Railway station for Delhi overnight train journey.

Day 10 : Arrive Delhi - Departure

Upon arrival at Delhi railway station meet our representative and transfer to the hotel for freshening up; later enjoy city sightseeing tours of Old & New Delhi before transferring to the airport in time for your onward flight departure.
