Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrival in Cochin and Scenic Drive to Periyar

Upon reaching Cochin, you will be met with assistance and then driven to Periyar. Upon arrival in Periyar, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Day 2 : Periyar Wildlife Cruise and Transfer to Kumarakom

Early morning boat cruises are the ideal choice for exploring the wildlife of Periyar Sanctuary. Today, the Periyar lake offers an excellent boating experience for tourists. After returning to the hotel after the boat ride, have your breakfast, check out and then drive to Kumarakom. Upon reaching Kumarakom, check in at the hotel for an overnight stay.

Kumarakom: It is a popular tourist destination located near Kottayam city in Kerala, India, renowned for its backwater tourism. It is situated against the backdrop of Vembanad Lake, which happens to be the largest freshwater lake in Kerala.

Day 3 : Kumarakom Backwater Cruise and Houseboat Stay

After breakfast, embark on a backwater cruise to observe the agricultural activities of the local people living along the backwaters and visit the picturesque Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary. At 12:30 pm, check in at the houseboat. The rest of the day will be spent leisurely aboard the houseboat. Relax as you cruise through the tranquil narrow backwater canals. Enjoy lunch, evening tea/coffee with snacks, dinner, and spend your evening on the sundeck away from polluted cities and large crowds. You may even hear a twinkle from shining stars or see fish diving into water, extending a friendly greeting with their tails from the lake. Overnight stay on board the Houseboat.

Day 4 : Houseboat Checkout and Relaxation at Marari Beach

Today, check out from the houseboat and drive to Mararikulam. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and later visit Marari Beach before returning to the resort. You will have free time for your own activities.

Marari Beach is situated in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India. Just 11 km from Alappuzha town, this peaceful village (also known as Mararikulam) is a perfect vacation spot.

Day 5 : Leisure Day at the Resort: Relax and Unwind

Today is a leisure day for you to enjoy your own activities and make use of the resort’s amenities.

Day 6 : Cochin City Tour: Fort Kochi Beach, Vasco House, and Dutch Palace

After breakfast, check out and drive to Cochin. Upon arrival, visit Fort Kochi Beach, Vasco House, and Dutch Palace. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.

Cochin: Kochi, previously known as Cochin, is a significant harbor city on the west coast of India near the Arabian Sea. It belongs to the Ernakulam district in Kerala state. The name Ernakulam often refers to the mainland part of the city.

Fort Kochi Beach: Taking a stroll along this beach, especially at sunset with Chinese fishing nets and sailing ships in view, is a memorable experience. Numerous European-style bungalows can be seen along the shoreline. The coastal area has many small stalls offering freshly caught fish prepared using traditional recipes.

Vasco House: Situated on Rose Street, Vasco House is believed to be one of India’s oldest Portuguese houses where Vasco da Gama is said to have lived. The house features European glass-paned windows and verandas.

Dutch Palace: Originally built by the Portuguese, this palace was later modified by the Dutch in 17th century before being presented to the Raja of Kochi. Many Rajas of Kochi were coronated here. The palace contains an impressive collection of mural paintings depicting scenes from Hindu epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. It is located in Mattancherry.

Day 7 : Departure: Drive to Airport for Next Destination

After breakfast, check out and drive to the airport to catch a flight for your next destination.
